  1. MILLSTONE LEARNING PATH

    Guidebook: The learning path, which starts and reverts to Sárospatak represents natural and culture histrotical values of Megyer-mountain and Király-mountain (Megyer-mountain row), furthermore Makkoshotyka and Hercegkút municipality surroundings (Pogánykút-passage). We can visit the following sights and places through the learning path: Nagy-Bot-kő geyser cone, Megyer-mountain millstone mine’s imposing cliffs, the whitewash evasive oaks, the abandoned grape’s vegetation, the historical wine-growing region of Tokaj-Hegyalja (e.g. the Gombos-mountain and Kőporos wine-cellar rows), the species rich slope steppes of Mandulás and the locally important nature conservation area, the Sárospatak Castle garden, which area is 7 hectare.

  2. KOMLÓSKA REEF LEARNING PATH

    Accessibility: The starting point of the learning path is in front of the tourist house of the settlement.

    Guidebook: The learning path – which starts from the tourist hotel, located in the inner area of Komlóska – turns up from the municipality to the north-western Szkalka, then it slopes back to Komlóska, from where it leads to south running Hollós-lake valley. From here, it leads us to the northern Pusztavár, which is 426 m high, where after forming a 6 station loop, it leads us back to the starting point. The learning path affects the following sights and places: Komlóska provincial house, the middle-aged Pusztavár’s ruins, and the mountain’s emerging geoglogical formation, the calcite-reef in the side of Szkalka, as well as the nearby hidroquartzite-reef and bentonite mine. During the route, we may also recognize the wildlife of beeches, the slope debris forests, the thermophilic oaks and the slopy steppe meadows.

  3. BODROGZUG WATER TOUR LEARNING PATH
    Name: Bodrogzug Water Tour Learning Path

    Settlement: Bodrogkeresztúr, Bodrogkisfalud, Olaszliszka, Szegi, Szegilong, Tokaj, Zalkod
    Estabilisher, handler: It has been created by the National Park Directorate of Bükk; the handler is the Aggtelek National Park Directorate since 2007.02.01.
    Length: 8 km
    Time needed: two days
    Signal: The route which assigned as a water tour route (Zsaró, Zsaró-vein, Dió-vein, Bodrogzug (I.) main canal, Holt-Bodrog, Bodrog) leads through a living river, backwaters, and canals.

    Difficulty: The difficulty of the water tour depends on the water run relation of Bodrogzug.
    Accessibility: The actual water tour route starts at Zsaró-sluice (4th station), which can be found 2 kilometres away (to the east) from Bodrog’s Lebuj-turn, and 1 kilometres away (to the north) from the Unio water site.

    Guidebook: Along the designeted water route path, plates describes us the wildlife and land history of Bordrogzug, but we may also wonder the specific backwaters, which are represent specific nature conservation values.
    Restriction: For the entry to the Tokaj-Bodrogzug Landscape Protection Division’s protected natural zone, we must have a preliminary allowance from the North-Hungarian Enviroment Protection, Nature Conservation and Water Management Inspectorate. Camping, social and mass sport events, sport competitions, technical sport activities are forbidden in the entire protected natural area of TBTK. Water touring is only allowed in the designated routes which are shown on the map: Zsaró, Zsaró-vein, Dió-vein, Bodrogzug (I.) main canal. Water touring is forbidden in any other places within Bodrogzug. The number of water hikers can’t be more than the daily 30 in the protected natural area section (from the Zsaró-sluice to the Zsaró-vein). As long as the water touring group is led by a registrated tour leader, there is an opportunity to have 5 more person, up to a maximum 30 person per a day. Apart from the staff number restriction, the directorate can differ on both directions depending on the impact on natural values.
    The effect of the restriction expands to all water vehicles and water sports equipments.
